Implosion comprises explosion method to demolish large structures. To succeed, blueprints are evaluated to figure out the type, placement and time of explosion. To succeed, blueprints are evaluated to figure out the type, placement and time of explosion. Secondly, high rich arm is used on buildings of approximately 66 feet or higher. It involves a base machine and demolition tool to demolish and remove large structures for certain structural materials. Thirdly, wrecking ball is the oldest and commonly used method. It requires skillful and experienced crane operators to ensure smoothness of operation. Size of building to be demolished is limited to certain extend and such method of demolishing creates environmental pollution. Lastly, selective demolition is an environmentally friendly method. The main objective is to get back the greatest amount of materials with minimal cost involved. However it requires manpower and is time consuming.

Unit 3, Task 2 : Reflection in real life

Having done badly for O'levels, I entered an engineering course in poly which was never a choice of mine.  I accepted the engineering course just to secure a place in poly to get my diploma. Initially I had the mindset of just getting through each semester as I didn't see a point in doing well and was disappointed with myself. Along the way I met many friends who experienced the same situation as me of entering engine cluster due to our poor result. They were working hard to get good grades even though the course wasn't their ideal choice. It was then I realized, no matter how much I dislike, life goes on. Instead of dwelling on my downfall, I started getting motivations from my surrounding and worked hard to achieve better grades in my 2nd year which made me realized that engineering course was actually where I belong.
